Looking to save money on your move? A great place to start is with your packing materials!

The right packing supplies can help make your move smooth, but that doesn’t mean that you need to break the bank in order to buy packing materials. In fact, there are many things around your home that you can use to pack your belongings. In our last blog, our moving company in Clermont went over a few everyday items around your home that double as packing materials. Today, we will be finishing up our blog series with this list of the last few common, household items you can use to pack:

#8. Trash Bags

There is no better option for your clothes than trash bags! Trash bags make it easy to move your clothes; you don’t even have to take them off of the hangers! Just wrap your clothes in sturdy trash bags!

#9. Drawers

In most cases, you can just leave your clothes in your drawers when you move. To secure them, simply cover your open drawers with plastic wrap! If you are using professional movers, be sure to ask if they have any policies in place about moving unpacked items.

#10. Trash Cans

If your trash cans are clean, they can be used to transport many things, including detergents, cleaning supplies and toiletries. If they aren’t clean, you can still use them, just line them with a clean bag before you do so.

While it’s true that moving and packing can get pricey, they don’t have to be expensive! With a little creativity, there are a plethora of things you can do to save more money during your move. Do you have questions or concerns? Contact us today!
