Your guide to moving during the holidays part 3

You can still enjoy the holidays, even while preparing for your move.

Moving can be stressful, and if you let it, it can certainly ruin your holiday season. In our last blog, we talked about how utilizing our moving services in Leesburg can free up more of your time to celebrate the holidays, and we also went over a couple of tips to help you enjoy the holidays while preparing for your move. Today, we will be finishing up our blog series with these last few tips for moving during the holidays:

#5. Make giving gifts easier.

Look for gifts online and have them gift wrapped and sent right to the recipient so that you won’t have to haul packages around or worry about wrapping gifts at the last minute. If you have kids, they probably won’t understand why the holidays have to be postponed for your move, so plan to do a small gift exchange with them. Just be sure that you give them gifts that are portable and easy to travel with.

#6. Make other arrangements for your holiday feast.

With everything in boxes, it’ll be a whole lot harder for you to cook a feast for your family. That’s why it’s a good idea to plan on enjoying your holiday feast at the home of a relative or a close friend.

#7. Find a hotel that celebrates the holidays.

If you are going to be spending your holiday on the road, try to find a place to stay that celebrates the holidays so that your family can still enjoy the day. It’s also a good idea to take stockings and other small, easy-to-pack decorations to make your family feel like home.
